John Michael is a freelance photographer located in Durham, NC. He and his wife Carrie Grace have a baby girl born in October 2021. He is a 2017 graduate from Ohio University with a Masters in Visual Communication. After graduating he worked as an intern at BurkleHagen Photography in Cleveland, OH.
In 2013 he earned an Interdisciplinary Studies degree with a depth study in Photojournalism and Digital Media from the University of Alabama. Throughout his first three years at Alabama, he worked as a staff photographer for the school's student newspaper, The Crimson White. During his senior year, he joined the athletic department as a student photographer and helped the photo staff cover all 21 collegiate sports on campus. Additionally, he has worked as a freelance photographer in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, Alabama.
